Pablo Mercader Duch

The multi-talented Pablo Mercader Duch, who was born in Merida, will also be taking part in the opening as “ElHada”. He is a gifted actor, dancer, choreographer and drag queen. He played a leading role in the video productions for Casa Modeon, alongside Luis Fernando Ramirez, as choreographer and costume designer.

Pablo Mercader Duch was born in Mérida Yucatán in 1983; actor, dancer, choreographer and drag queen. He studied a Diploma in Classical Dance at the Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatán. He was a member of the classical dance company of the state of Yucatan under the direction of Victor Salas in which he performed in numerous projects.
He ventured into the world of opera as an extra and dancer, produced by the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra. His first play was “We are not Fridas but we are free”, directed by Tobias Ojeda Carrillo. She has knowledge in classical dance, jazz, contemporary, heels and different styles of movement for shows. She has designed and made costumes for several plays. He has been working in the world of transformism since he was 20 years old. Important works in Mérida were “Nos Casamos” directed by Mabel Vázquez; “Doña Rosita la soltera o el lenguaje de las flores” directed by Paco Marín and “El anarquista o los martes de Mallarmé” by José Ramón Enríquez, directed by Pablo Herrero. His most recent work in CDMX was: actor in “Ni en mi santo juicio”, play written by Michelle Circuit for short theater; actor in “Nuevo Orden”, film directed by Michelle Franco; actor and choreographer in “El Baile de los 41”, film directed by David Pablos.
